Former Aberdeen striker Lee Miller has told his old club that they cannot afford to lose against Celtic this weekend, even at such an early stage of the Scottish Premiership season.

Aberdeen host Ronny Deila's Scottish champions at Pittodrie on Saturday and are hoping to once again provide the Bhoys' main opposition in the chase for the title.




Last term though the Dons suffered defeat in all four league matches with Celtic and Miller insists they cannot afford to lose ground to the Bhoys by once again being beaten.

"They have to show a good account of themselves, they can't get beat", Miller told BBC Sportsound.
 

 

"I think Derek McInnes will be adamant to the players in the dressing room that they have a massive chance this season", the former striker continued.

Aberdeen have picked up 15 points from their five Scottish Premiership games so far, but sit one point behind Celtic, though they have played a game fewer.

Following their clash with Celtic, Aberdeen take on Hamilton, Hearts and Hibernian, as they bid to put together a credible title challenge in an attempt to stop Deila's side scooping another crown.
