Super agent Mino Raiola insists that his client Urby Emanuelson is not in talks with Brazilian side Vasco da Gama.

The former AC Milan, Ajax and Roma winger is on the lookout for a new club this summer and is a free agent, meaning he can move outside the transfer window system.

He was linked with Leeds United earlier this summer, but lately it was claimed in Brazil that he is on his way to Vasco da Gama.

The club's coach even welcomed the prospect of having Emanuelson at his disposal.

But Raiola says that while his client is in talks with several clubs, Vasco da Gama are not amongst them and he rubbished talk that the winger is signing for the Brazilian outfit.

"We have not talked to Vasco da Gama", he told ELF Voetbal.

"I have no idea where this came from.

"There are several clubs in talks about signing Urby and there is lots of interest – but there is no Vasco.

"We hope to have news in the short term."

Emanuelson is an attractive prospect for a number of sides given his free agent status and offers extensive experience at the highest level.

The winger has been training with former club Ajax in a bid to stay fit ahead of embarking upon his new adventure.
