Former AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia will undergo a medical with Chelsea tomorrow ahead of signing for the Blues on a free transfer.

Jose Mourinho wants to add the experienced shot-stopper to his ranks at Stamford Bridge following an injury to Thibaut Courtois which has left Asmir Begovic as the only senior goalkeeper at the Portuguese's disposal.

Now the Premier League champions are closing the net around Amelia.

According to Sky Italia, the Italian custodian will now undergo his medical check at Chelsea tomorrow as he nears towards joining the English club.

Should he pass his medical, Amelia will then put pen to paper on a contract running until the end of the season with Chelsea.
