Liverpool forward Danny Ings is delighted that his hard work has been recognised by the England national team set-up as he has been selected for their upcoming international fixtures, adding that the Anfiled outfit are a great place for a youngster to develop.

Ings arrived at the Merseyside giants earlier this summer from Burnley and has gone on to feature in seven games across all competitions for the side, scoring two goals – one each in the Premier League and the Europa League – in the process.

The striker has been called up by England national team manager Roy Hodgson for their upcoming games, and he has expressed his delight at being rewarded for his hard work.

"It is great that people are recognising your hard work and what you try to do for the team and the fans but it is something I honestly didn't expect”, he was quoted as saying by the FA.

He further added that he is relishing his time at Anfield and feels that Liverpool are a great club for youngsters to develop.
