Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has revealed that he is excited to work with Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, saying that he is looking forward to going back to Merseyside after the conclusion of the ongoing international break.

The Reds sacked Brendan Rodgers earlier this month after they drew with Everton in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, and have appointed Klopp at the helm, handing him a three-year contract.

The German is yet to be with the full squad of his new team as some of the first team regulars, including Lallana, are on international duty.

And the England international has revealed that he is excited with the prospect of working with the former Borussia Dortmund manager, who guided BVB to two Bundesliga titles as well as the final of the Champions League in 2013.

“I am excited, very excited, to work with the new manager”, the midfielder was quoted as saying by his club’s site.

“I saw the press conference and, like everyone at the press conference and the reaction he is getting; it is going to be exciting.

“I have obviously got one more game with England and I am fully focused on it, but I am excited to get back to the club afterwards.”

This weekend’s trip to White Hart Lane against Tottenham Hotspur will be Klopp’s first game in the Premier League.
