Liverpool starlet Ovie Ejaria says Jurgen Klopp's presence at the club has left everyone "buzzing".

Klopp was appointed Liverpool manager last week, succeeding Brendan Rodgers in the hot seat, and one of his first moves was to head to the club's academy to take in an Under-18s game against Stoke City.

Ejaria scored the only goal in a 1-0 win as Klopp watched on and the youngster has revealed the German's presence has already had an impact on the hopefuls at Anfield.

He told his club's site: "Everyone was buzzing.

"Obviously first impressions are important and it was a great feeling to be able to play in front of him already", he added.

Klopp will be eager to assess all the players currently at Anfield, especially as the transfer window is closed until the new year.

The German believes he is walking into a situation which can be retrieved and the Reds are only three points off a top four spot in the Premier League.

Life under Klopp begins in earnest this coming weekend when Liverpool travel to White Hart Lane to take on Tottenham Hotspur.
