Scottish Championship leaders Rangers face the prospect of meeting St. Mirren at home in the Petrofac Cup semi-finals if they can manage to outplay Livingston next Tuesday night.

The draw for the semi-finals was held earlier today and threw up mouth-watering games.

St. Mirren, Rangers' fellow Championship outfit, reached the penultimate stage of the cup by virtue of a 4-0 home win over Dunfermline.

Former Gers striker Calum Gallagher in fact played a major role in their victory, opening the scoring with Stevie Mallan and Scott Agnew also finding the back of the net.

The other semi-final will see Peterhead take on Queen's Park, with the ties to be played in November, though the dates haven't been confirmed yet.

Peterhead knocked out their League One rivals Stenhousemuir via a 3-0 win this Saturday while League Two side Queen's Park registered a 2-1 win against Elgin City on the same day.

The Gers are therefore the only side left to play their match which will be played at their home on 20th October.

Today's event was also attended by former Scotland manager Craig Brown and European Tour golfer Scott Jamieson.
