Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn believes it will be difficult for the Gers to go through the Championship season unbeaten, but he is happy they still have their record intact following a hard-fought win over Queen of the South yesterday.

Mark Warburton's side fell behind in the 35th minute at Ibrox, but levelled early in the second half through Jason Holt.

The match looked set to be heading for a 1-1 draw and even more so when Waghorn missed a late penalty.

But the striker then quickly scored at the death with a near post header to seal a 2-1 victory and make it ten wins out of ten for Rangers in the league.

Rangers are increasingly being tipped to go through the entire Championship campaign unbeaten, but Waghorn believes that will be tough.

"It will be tough to go the while season unbeaten, but at least we still have that record for a bit longer anyway", he told his club's official site.

And the striker hailed the character shown by the Rangers team to keep going and eventually seal all three points.

"It was a roller-coaster of emotions for me, from the disappointment of the penalty to the winning goal.

"But the character of the lads to keep going and get the win makes it that bit more satisfying", Waghorn added.
