Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen on snapping up Cristian Tello as he plots bolstering his options at Anfield.

The Reds have long been linked with Tello, but their interest has received a shot in the arm with Klopp's arrival as the German is keen on the speedy Spanish winger.

According to Brazilian outlet Esporte Interativo, citing Portuguese correspondent Arthur Quezada, Klopp is desperate to get his hands on Tello and has noted the winger's fine performances at FC Porto.

Tello is currently on loan at the Portuguese giants from European champions Barcelona.

He linked up with the Estadio do Dragao outfit in the summer of 2014 on a two-year loan deal.
