AC Milan are attempting a last ditch bid to help Mario Balotelli avoid needing an operation on his groin.

The striker, who is on loan at AC Milan from Liverpool for the season, has not played for the Rossoneri since the end of September against Genoa.

He has been suffering from groin pain and has been lined up for an operation to correct the issue. But AC Milan are set to try and avoid surgery for Balotelli as they know it would rule him out of action for a lengthy period.

According to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, the Rossoneri are embarking upon eight days of specific therapy for Balotelli.

The Italian giants are trying to avoid Balotelli needing surgery as they seek to push him back towards fitness as quickly as possible.
