Veteran Brazilian striker Alan has pointed to a goal scored against Manchester United at Old Trafford as the most memorable moment of his long career.

Now 36 years old, Alan is rapidly closing in on becoming the record appearance maker for Portuguese club Braga, being just seven appearances away from achieving the feat.

Reflecting upon his time at Braga, which started in 2008, the club captain singled out scoring against Manchester United in the Champions League at Old Trafford in 2012 as his favourite moment.

Alan scored in the 2nd and 20th minutes at Old Trafford to stun the hosts, but Manchester United came from behind to win the Champions League group stage fixture 3-2.

"It was a moment I will never forget", Alan was quoted as saying by SAPO Desporto.
