Borussia Dortmund have set a hefty asking price for forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been linked with both Arsenal and Liverpool.

The Gabon international has been in scintillating form for Dortmund this season and has already notched up 22 goals in 20 appearances for the club in all competitions.

The 26-year-old has been one of the main driving forces of Thomas Tuchel’s Dortmund side, who are currently second in the Bundesliga table and are hoping to provide Bayern Munich a run for their money in Germany this season.

With good form comes attention from some of the top clubs in Europe and there are suggestions that English giants Arsenal and Liverpool are on the trail of the former AC Milan forward.

Aubameyang has insisted that he feels well settled at the Westfalenstadion and is enjoying his life in Dortmund. The club have also insisted that the striker is not for sale at any price.

However, Dortmund are aware that everyone has a price and according to German magazine Sport Bild, they have slapped an asking price of €60m on the forward. They are in no mood to entertain offers below the stated figure.

With him being in scintillating form, Dortmund are not expected to lower their asking price for the player and a contract until 2020 also provides them the extra cushion in any negotiations for the striker.

It remains to be seen whether Aubameyang continues to remain one of the deadliest forwards in Europe this season, which might force one of his suitors to take up Dortmund’s bait.
