Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has refused to comment on Real Madrid's under pressure manager Rafael Benitez, insisting that his comments on El Clasico are "zero".

Los Blancos were humbled 4-0 at their home by Luis Enrique's Barcelona side on Saturday, a loss that saw the Madrid giants drop down to third in the league table with 24 points from 12 matches, two points behind rivals Atletico Madrid.

Mourinho, who himself has been under pressure after having seen his side start the Premier League in the worst possible way, insists that it is wrong to criticise the teams that are playing poorly.

Drawing references from his own managing career, the Portuguese added that he refrained from giving any interview at the time when he left Chelsea back in 2007 as he felt it would be wrong to speak about clubs that were in trouble.

And in case of Real Madrid as well, Mourinho insisted that he would not like to say anything that would essentially be disrespectful for their manager.

"I left Chelsea in September 2007. I was waiting eight months to work again when I went to Inter", Mourinho told a press conference ahead of his side's Champions League game in Israel.

"During that period, I gave zero interviews – not one word about other clubs in trouble. I closed my mouth for eight months.

"In this moment, I see so many people speaking, especially about clubs in trouble. It's amazing the lack of respect, the lack of ethics.

"If I speak about Real Madrid, I speak when they are winning. Not when they are losing. So for me, words about the Clasico? Zero."
