Rangers midfielder Gedion Zelalem has admitted that he needs to add goals to his game to become an improved player.

The 18-year-old, who joined the Gers from Arsenal on a season-long loan deal in the summer, has thus far made 11 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish outfit.

Although Zelalem put in several sparkling displays and managed to provide five assists, the starlet is yet to find the back of the net for Rangers.

And the teenager revealed that Rangers boss Mark Warburton has also underlined the importance of adding goals to his name.

Zelalem further added that he feels very settled at Ibrox Stadium, and thanked his team-mates and the coaching staff for contributing to his continuous improvement.

“I know I need to add goals to my game if I want to be the player I know I can be, and I need more of an end product too”, he told the club’s official site.

“I get told that by the gaffer, and I absolutely agree. “I want to improve in every game and every day in training, and he keeps my feet on the ground and helps me along.

“That goes for all the coaching staff and the players too. It helps having so many people around who are of your own age. You can interact with them more, but even guys like Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace, you can talk to any time you want.”

Zelalem, who joined Arsenal’s academy from Olney Rangers in 2013, represented Germany from Under-15 to Under-17 levels before changing his allegiance to the United States.

The youngster is however yet to earn a senior cap for USA.
