Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino believes his side showed maturity following their 1-0 win over Qarabag in the Europa League last night.

Harry Kane scored the only goal of the game in the 78th minute as Spurs inflicted upon Qarabag their first home defeat in the competition this season.

The three points at the Azersun Arena also helped Tottenham to consolidate their place at the top of Group J with 10 points from five games.

And Pochettino, whose side have now booked their place in the knockout rounds of the Europa League, was thoroughly pleased with the White Hart Lane outfit’s display in Azerbaijan.

“It was a tough game, Qarabag’s first loss at home this season and an important win for us – three points and we’re into the next round”, the manager told the club’s official site.
