Devonte Redmond says that Manchester United Under-21s are in no doubt what they will encounter when they face their Liverpool counterparts this evening in the Under-21 Premier League.

The clash at the Leigh Sports Village may be only an Under-21 game, but matches between the two fierce rivals are always intense and keenly fought, Redmond believes, with no doubt what is to come.

Manchester United Under-21s lost their last match, going down 2-0 away at Norwich City in midweek, and are desperate to bounce back against Liverpool.

Redmond told his club's official site: "Liverpool is a big one and hopefully we'll get the win.

"You know what you're going to get from them. They have got good players and it's a special game for us because there is massive rivalry", the young midfielder continued.

"If we win, it'll give us a massive boost going into the next few matches."

Both Manchester United and Liverpool currently find themselves in the lower reaches of the Under-21 Premier League.

The Red Devils are tenth in the 12-team league, but have played only four games, compared to league leaders' Sunderland's ten.

Liverpool meanwhile have played seven games, but sit rock bottom of the division with only a single win all season.
