Celtic assistant manager John Collins has revealed that manager Ronny Deila was present for Aston Villa Under-21s’ match against Derby Under-21s to scout striker Libor Kozak.

Kozak arrived at Villa Park in September 2013 for around £7m from Italian outfit Lazio, but has only managed to make 14 appearances for the club scoring four goals.

The 26-year-old was sidelined for 19 months after breaking his leg during a training session in the beginning of 2014.

Collins reiterated that the Scottish outfit are looking to strengthen all departments, but remained coy over any potential move for Kozak.

Speaking in an interview as quoted by the BBC, Collins said: "Ronny's gone down to have a look at him and he's scored a couple of goals but there's nothing imminent.

"We're looking to strengthen all over, to be honest."

The Czech Republic striker has managed only one appearance for the club this season as a substitute in the League Cup win over Notts County. However, he scored twice in the game against Derby with Deila in attendance.

Villa, who currently sit at the bottom of the Premier League having amassed only six points from their opening 15 games, have strikers of the ilk of Jordan Ayew, Rudy Gestede, Scott Sinclair and captain Gabriel Agbonlahor in their ranks and Kozak is believed to be at the bottom of the pecking order.
