Cristiano Ronlado has explained that currently he is not open to the idea of playing in the MLS.

The 30-year-old, whose present deal with Real Madrid runs until 2018, has been linked with a move away from the club in the coming summer.




And reports from some corners suggested that Ronaldo may be heading towards the MLS, which currently boasts big-name players such as David Villa, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Andrea Pirlo.

But Ronaldo ruled out any imminent move to the USA. However, the Portuguese was quick to add that he might reconsider his stance in a couple of years.
 


"Right now I don't see myself playing in the American league, but that's right now", he told the Associated Press.

Ronaldo, who joined Real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009, has thus far clocked up 320 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish giants, scoring a staggering 334 times.

He has thus far helped Los Blancos to a La Liga title, one Champions League, one Copa del Rey and one FIFA Club World Cup amongst other honours.
