FC Augsburg general manager Stefan Reuter feels his side’s Europa League Round of 32 clash against Liverpool is a highlight for the club.

The Fuggerstadter earned promotion to the Bundesliga in 2011 and after securing a fifth placed finish last term, qualified for the Europa League.

Reuter is a former Bayern Munich, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund defender, who lifted the UEFA Champions League with Die Borussen and finished as UEFA Cup runners-up on two occasions.

Augsburg finished second in Group L behind Spanish outfit Athletic Bilbao and were paired with the English giants in yesterday’s draw.

The 49-year-old revealed that he started receiving calls from many people inquiring about tickets for the Liverpool game during the draw, as excitement gripped the Bundesliga side's fans.

“During the draw my phone was vibrating constantly, as so many people were asking for tickets already.

“They want to be there. This is an absolute highlight for us.”

The first-leg of the Round of 32 clash between Augsburg and Liverpool will be played at the WWK Arena on 18th February 2016.
