Arsenal are ready to make a fresh attempt to sign young Juventus defender Daniele Rugani in the January transfer window.

After sitting out most of the season on the bench, the 21-year-old defender has been recently drafted back into the team and Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is ready to provide more opportunities to Rugani.

He has been heavily linked with a move away from Juventus due to his severe lack of football this season, but the club are in no mood to sell one of Italy’s brightest young talents.

Arsenal and Manchester United were said to be his probable suitors, but with Juventus unwilling to relent, the defender is expected to stay put in Turn for the time being.

However, the Gunners are not ready to lose hope and according to Italian outlet Tutto Juve, they are ready to make one final push to take Rugani to England in the January transfer window with a fresh offer.

It has been suggested that the Gunners are prepared to make an offer in the range of €20m to €25m next month to sign the defender from Juventus, but are still likely to fail in their attempt.

The Bianconeri are not willing to lose the young defender and are expected to knock back any offer from the Gunners in the winter window.
