Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas could leave the club next summer and sides such as Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a move for him, according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport.

The former Arsenal midfielder joined Chelsea in the summer of 2014 and played a huge role as the Blues dominated the Premier League to lift their first title since 2010, but the current season has not been kind to either the player or the club.

The Spain midfielder has looked a shadow of his former self this season and his dip in form has coincided with the worst title defence ever by the Blues, as the team lurched from one disaster to another this term.

While it looks increasingly unlikely that the Blues will finish in the top four this term, it has been claimed that the architect of their 2014/15 league title triumph could leave the club at the end of the season.

It has been suggested that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is considering selling the Spain international next summer and even the player himself is thinking long and hard about his future at the club.

Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus are also said to be in the race for his signature, but any club wanting to sign him must meet his wage demands of around €8m to €10m per season.
