Liverpool have been in touch with Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen's representatives over a move to Anfield, it has been claimed.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring in another goalkeeper, although it remains to be seen whether he will move this month or wait until the end of the season.

Klopp is a firm fan of Barcelona custodian Ter Stegen and according to French radio station RMC, Liverpool have been in touch with the goalkeeper's representatives.

Ter Stegen is unhappy with his amount of playing time at the Camp Nou, though it is not clear whether he wishes to throw in the towel on his Barcelona career.

Liverpool have not yet been in touch with Barcelona over signing the German, with the Reds appearing to want to establish whether Ter Stegen wants the move first.
