English Premier League duo Everton and Norwich City have lodged enquiries over the availability of former Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

Both sides are on the lookout to add to their squad in the current winter transfer window and the 32-year-old is an attractive option.

Cardozo made his name in European football due to a prolific spell at Benfica between 2007 and 2014, during which time he scored 165 goals in 287 games.

The Paraguayan is currently at Turkish outfit Trabzonspor, but has been linked with leaving the club.

Last season the striker scored 20 goals in all competitions for the Black Sea Storm, but this term he has just six to his name.
