Chelsea have held meetings with Bologna midfield wonderkid Amadou Diawara’s representatives over a proposed move to west London.

The 18-year-old defensive midfielder has been attracting attention for his performances in the Serie A this season and a number of top clubs across Europe are keen to snare him away from Bologna.

Premier League giants such as Tottenham and Manchester City have been keeping their eyes on the player for months and even Juventus and Inter Milan are rumoured to be interested in the teenage sensation.

However, Chelsea are the ones who are taking some proactive steps in the transfer market to lure Diawara to Stamford Bridge and according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, the club have held meetings with the player’s representatives to work out a proposed move.

Diawara’ agents arrived in London recently and it has been suggested that they met Chelsea’s top brass to discuss the outlines of a deal that will see their client move to west London in the near future.

Bologna signed the 18-year-old from San Mario Calcio just last summer, but are aware that they might be rendered powerless if the youngster decides to answer Chelsea’s call to move to England this month or next summer.

Despite his tender years, the defensive midfielder has been a regular starter for Bologna this season and has a contract until 2020 with the club.
