Ligue 1 outfit Monaco are closing in on the signing of Fulham starlet Moussa Dembele, despite the 19-year-old attracting attention from Tottenham Hotspur and Italian champions Juventus.

Dembele is out of contract at Craven Cottage at the end of the current campaign, but Fulham have remained reluctant to cash in on him as they bid to stay clear of the relegation zone in the Championship.

Monaco are now making progress on talks to take the striker back to his homeland in the summer and, according to Sky Italia, are close to reaching an agreement with the player.

Dembele is an attractive proposition for Monaco due to his contractual status and the minimal nature of any compensation fee his age would warrant.

Fulham could yet choose to try and sell Dembele this month in order to maximise their return, but securing their Championship status is the club's main aim.
