Celtic have competition in the form of an unnamed Asian club for the signature of Feyenoord striker Colin Kazim-Richards, according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf.

The Turkey international, who is currently serving a two-week ban imposed by Feyenoord for threatening a journalist, made his move to the club permanent in the summer after impressing during his loan stint last season.

Celtic are close to agreeing an 18-month loan move for Manchester City starlet Patrick Roberts, and it seems roping in Kazim-Richards is next on their agenda as the Hoops are reportedly already in talks with the forward.

The 29-year-old, who has scored four goals in 16 games in all competitions in the present campaign, has experience of playing in the United Kingdom, owing to his spells at Bury, Brighton & Hove Albion, Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers.

Kazim-Richards was born and raised in England, but he qualified for Turkish nationality through his mother's heritage.
