Leeds United have been linked with a move for Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The 24-year-old has struggled for first team action in the present campaign, with the centre-back clocking up just 554 minutes over eight appearances in all competitions.

Bartley, whose present contract with the Swans is set to expire in 2017, joined the club from Arsenal in 2012.

Despite being a product of Arsenal’s youth system, Bartley never made it to the Gunners’ first team.

Bartley, who spent loan spells at Sheffield Wednesday and Rangers during his time at Arsenal, has thus far made 26 appearances in all competitions for the Welsh outfit.

He spent the 2013/14 campaign on loan at Birmingham City, where he scored five goals in 19 games.

Bartley, who has represented England at Under-17 and Under-19 levels, last featured for the Swans in the 3-2 loss to Oxford City in the FA Cup on 10th January.

It remains to be seen whether Leeds boss Steve Evans wants to sign the defender, however a late move for Giuseppe Bellusci may force his hand.
