Saido Berahino will not push for a late move to Newcastle United and is determined not to repeat his antics of last summer.

Newcastle made a big money £21m bid to sign Berahino from West Brom earlier today, but the Baggies quickly dug in their heels over the striker despite him being just a bit-part player under Tony Pulis this season.

On transfer deadline day last summer, Berahino was devastated to see multiple bids from Tottenham Hotspur knocked back and took to social media to claim he would never play for West Brom again.

But despite West Brom not being willing to play ball with Newcastle, Berahino will not repeat the trick.

He took to Twitter to write: "Everyone waiting once again for the silly little spoilt boy to make same mistake so here you go.

"Goodnight all and thanks for the support", Berahino added.

Berahino now looks unlikely to move from West Brom and Newcastle will be forced to give up on thoughts of a late deal to sign the striker.

It remains to be seen whether West Brom will be able to earn a similar sum to that offered by Newcastle if they seek to sell Berahino last summer.
