West Ham co-chairman David Gold feels his side are now capable of taking points off any team in an away game in the Premier League.

The Hammers have been in fine form away from home in the present campaign, with Slaven Bilic’s team losing just three of their 12 Premier League games on the road.

West Ham have managed to defeat big clubs such as Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City in away games, while also holding Manchester United to a goalless draw at Old Trafford this season.

And Gold, who insisted that West Ham were a jittery away outfit during his initial years at the club, thinks the Upton Park outfit can now claim positive results in any Premier League fixture away from home.

“In the past six years I’ve been at West Ham, you go to away games thinking ‘can we get a point’?” he wrote on his blog on the club website.

“Now there isn’t one club I go to where I don’t think we’re going to get something.”

West Ham, who lost their last away outing 2-1 at St James' Park to Newcastle United on 16th January, will next face Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium later in the day.
