Leeds United legend Eddie Gray feels that despite a few shoddy performances in recent times, Steve Evans' side are resilient and are tough to beat.

After a little run of poor form in mid-January, Leeds have picked themselves up in recent weeks and have not lost a game since going down to Sheffield Wednesday on 16th January, in the process also securing their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Leeds are currently 15th in the Championship table on 36 points and while a top six finish looks improbable, Gray has praised the dogged nature of the current side, which has helped them to come out of difficult runs of form this term.

He feels that despite some questionable performances, Leeds are getting results from games and have a resilient streak about them which has made them a very difficult side to beat in recent weeks.

The Leeds legend said on LUTV: “The good thing about the team in the present time, whatever people say about how they are performing home or away, they are getting results, and it’s a results game.

“Once you string a few results together the players start to feel more confident and go into games thinking, ‘we are a difficult side to beat’.

“And that’s one thing about them I have said in the past, they are resilient, they battle back, they dig in. Some of the performances have been pretty average, but they are getting results.”

Leeds will look to get another three points in the bag when they host Nottingham Forest later today at Elland Road.
