Arsenal Under-19s goalkeeper Ryan Huddart has revealed that Alexis Sanchez is the most difficult to play against as the Chilean forward uses no backlift while shooting, making it difficult to anticipate his efforts at goal.

The 18-year-old was on the bench for the Gunners’ in last year’s Champions League group stage games against Borussia Dortmund and Galatasaray, as David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny were both not available.

Huddart is currently training with the first team and the invaluable feedback from veteran shot-stoppers Petr Cech and Ospina has helped him improve immensely.

The 18-year-old has been called up for Steve Gatting’s Under-21s squad in two of their last five games.

Huddart insists that Sanchez stands out in training and that it is very difficult to anticipate the Chilean.

The former England Under-16 internationa also feels he deserved to be called up for the Under-21s due to his hard work all season.

Speaking in an interview with the club’s official website, Huddart said: "Alexis stands out for me. His shots have no backlift – so it is very difficult sometimes to anticipate him.

“It has been good, I've slowly been getting games in the under-21s and it has been difficult season but I have been working hard all season so I think it is deserved.”
