Arsenal winger Joel Campbell believes that his brilliant partnership with Hector Bellerin on the right flank is down to the excellent relationship shared between the two on and off the pitch.

Bellerin broke through the first team last year and has since established himself as Arsene Wenger’s first choice right-back.

The 20-year-old has made 29 appearances for the Gunners this season, and looks to be improving every day.

Campbell, who had a turbulent start to his career in north London, has made the most of Arsenal’s annual injury crisis this season and has moved up in Arsenal’s pecking order on the right wing.

The Costa Rica international has made 22 appearances for Wenger’s side, chipping in with three goals and four assists.

Speaking in an interview with Arsenal Player, Campbell said: “We speak the same language, so it is much easier to communicate with each other.

“We enjoy a very good relationship on and off the pitch.

"That helps us a lot when we are playing, by speaking with each other, helping each other and giving indications to give our best to the team.”
