Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Laurent Blanc has extended his contract with the club until 2018.

The Frenchman, who took charge of PSG in 2013, put pen to paper on a new two-year deal in the presence of the club’s owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Blanc guided the club to an unprecedented treble of Ligue 1, the French League cup and the French Cup last season, with PSG vying for a quadruple in the present campaign.

The French champions, who have lost just once in all competition this season, a 1-0 defeat against Real Madrid in the Champions League in November, are currently 24 points clear at the top of the Ligue 1.

And Blanc insisted that he is delighted to extend his stay at PSG as he is targeting further honours with the Parc des Princes outfit.
