Former Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti admits that he is not aware whether Jose Mourinho will become Manchester United manager in the near future.

The former Chelsea boss has been widely tipped to become the next Manchester United manager, and with Louis van Gaal’s reign lurching from one crisis to another, there is a suggestion that it could happen sooner rather than later.

Mourinho has remained coy over his links with Manchester United, but denied rumours earlier this week that he might go back to Inter Milan, and it seemed Nerazzurri club director Bedy Moratti had let the cat out of the bag.

The Portuguese had lunch with the Moratti family earlier today, and the sister of the former Inter president claimed that Mourinho will become the next Manchester United manager.

However, Massimo insisted that he is not aware what Mourinho wants to do, and is not sure the Portuguese is ready to let the world know about his intentions.
