Leeds United head coach Steve Evans has revealed he is targeting taking nine points from the next four games, as he looks to build on a run of three consecutive wins which came to an end at the weekend.

Evans' side slipped to a morale-sapping 4-1 home defeat to Huddersfield Town on Saturday, something which stopped the Whites making it four wins in a row.

The former Rotherham United boss was told to make sure Leeds did not suffer relegation when he was appointed in October, but he is eyeing vastly overachieving with a top-ten finish.

Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds ahead of training at Thorp Arch this morning, Evans explained: "We're working hard at Thorp Arch before the lads get a few days off.

"[There’s] lots to build on, nine points from 12 and that is the target for the next four matches, which is a very tough run with three of them away from home", the Leeds boss added.
