Former West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison has paid a tribute to Hammers captain Mark Noble, and hopes to play with him again at some point in his career.

West Ham and an all-stars Hammers team played in a testimonial match earlier today at Upon Park in honour of the club’s current campaign and many former stars such as Paolo Di Canio took part in the game.

Morrison, currently at Lazio, also had a short spell at West Ham and played alongside Noble; the midfielder admits that it was an honour to play alongside the midfielder, and he regrets not being there for such an occasion.

Morrison wrote on Instagram: “[It] was an honor to play with you & today is your day a day you deserve.

“What a great footballer & what an amazing person you are I hope you have a wicked day.

“I'm so gutted I cannot be there and play and spend some time with you guys. I hope one day we play together on the same team again God bless love & respect.”

An ultimate one-club man, Noble graduated through the West Ham academy, and has made 358 first team apperances for the club; he is set to go down as a Hammers legend.

On the other hand Morrison’s career has failed to kick off after showing initial promise at Manchester United. He is currently struggling to get on to the pitch at Lazio.
