Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a close watch on Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud ahead of the summer transfer window.

The midfielder joined the Gladbach academy from Dusseldorf in 2011, and has steadily progressed through the ranks to become a crucial part of Andre Schubert’s first team squad.




Dahoud, 20, has become a regular fixture in the starting eleven, and several top clubs across Europe are waking up to his commanding central midfield performances ahead of the transfer window.

While there is speculation that some of the top Premier League clubs are plotting to take Dahoud to England in the summer, according to German daily Bild, Tottenham’s interest in the midfielder is more concrete.
 


It has been suggested that Spurs have been keeping a close watch on the 20-year-old midfielder for months, and he fits the profile of player Tottenham want to sign in the summer.

Tottenham could be ready to invest a fee in the region of €30m to €35m at the end of the season to take Dahoud to White Hart Lane.

Monchengladbach remain reluctant to sell one of their young stars such as Dahoud in the summer, and are expected to resist Tottenham’s attempts to sign the midfielder.

Dahoud has a contract until 2018 with the club.
