Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists that his side's game against Everton will be intense, despite it being a busy week for the Blues.

The Reds are scheduled to take on Roberto Martinez’s side tonight, in the German manager’s first ever Merseyside derby as the man in charge of the English club, but soon after their trip to Anfield, Everton are scheduled to take on Manchester United in the semi final of the FA Cup on Saturday.

And Klopp feels that the Goodison Park side are not used to back to back games, but if their track record is any indication, the game tonight will be a difficult one.

“It will be intensive. I know nearly everything about Everton. I have lived in the city for half a year and met a lot of people and it’s a big club, a very successful club in the past”, the former Dortmund boss was quoted as saying by Liverpool’s official website.

“I don’t know exactly how the situation is there with the semi-final at the weekend; they are not used to playing two games a week in the season too often.

“Last week they had the situation, this week they have the situation. At the end of these two weeks is a pretty important game for them, so I don’t know too much about this”, the 48-year-old continued.

“But we should only think about our game, our line-up and to use the situation and especially to understand our situation in the table”, he added.

Both Liverpool and Everton have set their focus on cup competitions for the remainder of the season, with Klopp's men hoping to win the Europa League and the Toffees looking towards the FA Cup.
