Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has revealed that he is interested in taking charge of the Hoops once again.

Celtic confirmed earlier in the day that Ronny Deila will leave his post after the end of the present campaign, thereby putting an end to speculation.

The Bhoys, who are on the verge of winning their fifth straight Scottish Premiership title, have however fared poorly in cup competitions on both European and domestic fronts.

It has been claimed that Deila’s fate at Celtic was sealed following the club’s 5-4 loss on penalties to Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final at the weekend.

David Moyes, Brendan Rodgers, Lennon, Owen Coyle and Roy Keane amongst others have all been linked with taking the reins of the Scottish champions in the summer.

And Lennon, who parted ways with struggling Championship outfit Bolton Wanderers last month, admitted that he is keen to have another go at the managerial hot-seat at Celtic.

"Of course yes [I am approachable] for a job like that", he told BBC Scotland.

“But I am not promoting myself for the job, I will leave that for the powers that be, if I get a chance to speak to them.

"I enjoyed my four years and my 18 months at Bolton. So I think I'm better off."

Lennon guided Celtic to three league titles and two Scottish Cups during his time at the club between 2010 and 2014.
