Juventus officials have met Manchester United linked Edinson Cavani’s agent twice in the last few months to set up the groundwork for a summer approach for the Paris Saint-Germain forward.

The Bianconeri secured their fifth league title in a row last night after Napoli lost to Roma, but the club are in no mood to rest on their laurels and are already looking to build for next season.

The Serie A champions are looking to replicate their Italian domination in Europe, and it has been suggested that the club are keen to attract Cavani to the Juventus Stadium to achieve their goals.

The Bianconeri and Manchester United were linked with a move for the striker last summer too, but the Uruguayan decided to stay put at PSG, despite reservations about him being played out of position.

While it is unclear whether Manchester United are ready to rekindle their interest, according to Tuttosport, Juventus are keen to make the transfer happen this summer, and are laying down the groundwork for an approach once the transfer window opens.
