Mauricio Pochettino has indicated that Tottenham Hotspur are yet to throw in the towel in the title race as he feels a lot can still change in the last three games of the season.

A 1-1 draw with West Brom last night meant Tottenham are now fighting overwhelming odds in the title race as Leicester need just a win or three points from their remaining three league fixtures to lift the Premier League title.

In fact by the time Tottenham take the field to face Chelsea next Monday at Stamford Bridge the title race could be over if Leicester beat Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Pochettino insisted that his players cannot afford to let their shoulders drop and urged them to get ready for a visit to Chelsea; he stressed that with Leicester travelling to Old Trafford, anything can still happen in the title race.

The Tottenham boss told Spurs TV: “We need to lift the players; we need to lift our spirit.

“I think we need to still believe and get ready for the next game.

“It will be tough against Chelsea, but Leicester are facing Manchester United and a lot can happen in football.”

With the title looking out of their reach at the moment, Spurs are still desperate to finish ahead of north London rivals Arsenal, something they have not done since Arsene Wenger came to Highbury in 1996.
