Chelsea are close to securing the signature of Radja Nainggolan from Roma, it has been claimed.

The Belgian midfielder has been one of the top performers for Roma since joining the club in January 2014, and incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is a big fan of the midfield enforcer.




Conte has specifically requested Chelsea bring Nainggolan to Stamford Bridge this summer, and the club have been working on deal to secure the midfielder’s signature for a number of weeks.

And according to Sky Italia, after multiple rounds of talks with the Giallorossi, the Blues are close to getting the deal to sign Nainggolan over the line, with a transfer fee closed to being agreed.
 


It has been suggested that Chelsea could pay up to around €40m to Roma to secure the deal for the 27-year-old midfielder and Nainggolan is open to making the switch to west London during the summer window.

The midfielder has made 105 appearances for Roma since joining them in 2014, and has a contract until 2020 with the club.

Nainggolan has also earned 17 caps for Belgium and has four international goals to his name.
