Manchester United and Chelsea linked midfielder Andre Gomes’ agent Jorge Mendes is set to arrive in Italy on Friday to meet Juventus officials regarding a summer transfer for his client.

The 22-year-old midfielder’s future at Valencia has been a source of serious speculation over the last few days, with suggestions that he could be leaving the club during the summer transfer window.

Manchester United have been tracking his progress for months, and Chelsea have reportedly contacted Mendes regarding a transfer for Gomes, but for the moment Juventus seem to be in pole position to land the midfielder.

According to Sky Italia, Mendes will arrive in Italy on Friday, and will sit down for talks with Juventus officials to discuss the terms of a potential transfer for the Valencia midfielder to Turin in the summer.

Serie A giants Napoli are also interested in signing the Portugal international, but it is unclear whether Mendes will meet their officials during his Italy visit on Friday.
