Arsenal legend Martin Keown does not know whether Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will sign new contracts at the club if Arsene Wenger is forced out.

Wenger has seen a number of Arsenal fans turn decisively against his reign and at today's 1-0 win over Norwich City at the Emirates Stadium banners were held up calling for him to go.

But Keown, who played under Wenger, has raised the prospect of Sanchez and Ozil, both signed by the Frenchman, holding off penning new contracts if the boss leaves.

And the former defender believes big decisions lie ahead for Arsenal this coming summer.

"Some big decisions in the summer, to decide whether or not there is to be an announcement to say it's his last year", Keown said on the BBC's Final Score programme.

"Or is he looking at the bigger picture, getting players to sign new contracts. Sanchez and Ozil, will they sign if the great Arsene Wenger decides that he has had enough?"

Keown also thinks with the Norwich match being Wenger's 750th, respect should be shown to the Frenchman, though he does accept some fans have run out of patience.

"But they are running out of patience with him, it's his 750th game today and he should be respected for what he's achieved."

Arsenal moved up to third with their win over the Canaries and are aiming to overhaul north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in second.
