Pescara president Daniele Sebastiani has revealed that Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri is keeping an eye on his striker Gianluca Lapadula, who has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur.

After leading the Foxes to one of the unlikeliest league titles in the modern history in the 2015/16 Premier League campaign, the veteran Italian coach is already planning for next season and is jotting down a shortlist of targets for next season.

A number of players have already been linked with a move to the King Power Stadium and it has emerged that Ranieri has identified a target for the Foxes in the second tier of Italian football.

Pescara president Sebastiani revealed that in a phone conversation with Ranieri, the Leicester boss confirmed that he is keeping a close eye on 26-year-old forward Lapadula, who is creating waves in Serie B this season and has also been linked with a move to Tottenham in recent months.

When asked about Leicester’s interest in the forward, the Pescara president told Tutto Mercato: “Indeed, I received a phone call from Claudio Ranieri some time ago, before Leicester were crowned Premier League champions.
