Valencia have slapped a hefty asking price on Manchester United and Chelsea linked midfielder Andre Gomes, who is also generating interest from Juventus.

The Portugal international’s future at the Mestalla has been the subject of furious speculation over the last few weeks, and there has been suggestion that a number of top clubs are interested in signing him in the summer.

Juventus and Chelsea have reportedly contacted his agent, Jorge Mendes, in recent days to discuss a potential transfer for his client and even Manchester United have been linked with the 22-year-old midfielder.

However, Valencia are not keen to see the midfielder depart the club at the end of the season; it has been suggested that the club hierarchy recently met to discuss plans for the summer and they feel given Gomes’ age, he could become a key figure for them in the near future.

The midfielder remains a highly prized asset for the club, and according to Valencia-based daily Super Deporte, Los Che have slapped a €65m asking price on Gomes to scare off his suitors in the upcoming transfer window.

The Spanish giants are hoping that such a large figure will be enough to put off his suitors from making a move for the Portuguese midfielder in the summer.

Gomes joined Valencia from Benfica last summer and despite their inconsistencies this season, the midfielder has been one of the top performers for the club.

He has a contract until 2020 with Los Che.
