Chelsea linked midfielder Radja Nainggolan was seen chatting with Antonio Conte in a hotel last night in Rome, according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport.

The Belgian midfielder is a target for Chelsea and their incoming manager Conte is keen to see the Roma man at Stamford Bridge before he takes the reins of the club after the European Championship this summer.

The Blues were in negotiations with Roma over a deal for Nainggolan a few weeks ago, but it has been suggested that the talks have stalled as the two clubs have failed to reach an agreement over a transfer fee.

However, the speculation surrounding the midfielder was give a new lease of life last night after it was claimed that the Belgium international met Conte and the pair were seen chatting together in a hotel in the Italian capital.

The Italy head coach was in the capital city for national team commitments, though it remains unclear whether the meeting did take place.
