Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has held talks with newly crowned Scottish champions Celtic as the Bhoys look for Ronny Deila's successor, according to STV.

The Hoops are without a manager at present after their former manager left his post after handing them their fifth consecutive league title.

Celtic are looking to replace him and are trying to put themselves in a position to make an appointment by next week, having reportedly sounded out Manchester United legend Roy Keane as well.

Several other managers such as Owen Coyle, Neil Lennon and David Moyes have also been linked with moves to succeed the Norwegian at Celtic Park.

Rodgers, who has been out of job since being sacked by Liverpool in October last year, could be the next Celtic manager if the board decide to break the bank to land the 43-year-old.
