Dominic Ball insists that he is gutted to miss the Scottish Cup final against Hibernian later in the day, even though he is hopeful about Rangers coming out on top at Hampden.

The 20-year-old defender, who joined the Gers from Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan deal last summer, is suspended for the clash against Hibs.

Rangers have won the Scottish Championship title and the Challenge Cup this season and beat their arch-rivals Celtic in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup last month.

And Ball explained that he is looking forward to Rangers performing well against Hibs and bagging their third trophy of the 2015/16 campaign.

“Cup final day, gutted to be missing it but looking forward to the lads performing and hopefully getting the win!!” he tweeted, along with a photograph of himself with his team-mates.
