Liverpool have not been in touch over signing midfielder Dennis Praet from Anderlecht this summer.

The Merseyside giants have long been linked with the Belgian starlet and could yet launch a bid to take him to Anfield in time for the 2016/17 campaign, with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp expected to shake up his squad.

However, according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, Liverpool have not been in touch over snapping up the highly rated midfielder.

La Liga side Sevilla and Serie A outfit Fiorentina have been making the running for Praet of late, while Ronald Koeman's Southampton are also keeping close tabs on the Anderlecht man.

A product of Genk's youth academy, Praet broke through into senior football with Anderlecht in 2011 and has established himself as a key man with the Belgian giants.
